Athanase is grounded in the religious virtues of Faith, Hope, and Love, the very essence of the Order's mission and purpose. These are not just talking points, they are the principles that have guided his 25+ years of service to the Order and will guide his leadership as Supreme Knight. He will build upon the Order's great legacy while positioning it for the future.

Our Focus

Strengthening our Bonds

Building upon the bonds that make our Order strong — Our mission is to strengthen Catholic men, women, families, and parishes through our service to the church.

We will stregthen these bonds through our support of faith formation, family life, support for vocations, charitable service, and fraternity among the membership.
Develop regional events, outside of conferences and conventions, to foster relationships with parishes and communities to advance our objectives and increase awareness of our service to the church.
Continue to explore innovative methods to retain members and be more welcoming to new members and potential members.

Growing Membership

Attracting the next generation of leaders while honoring the traditions that define us.

Launch a targeted outreach campaign to recruit young people target age 25–40.
Create a comprehensive plan to institutionalize and fully integrate our current online application process to support growth.
Create a structured membership development process to increase membership and expand our reach to a youthful demographic.
Expand national and local mentorship programs to connect experienced members with new initiates.

Service to God's People

The central focus of our existence must be service, we will increase our visibility through action. My vision is a larger charitable footprint and increased community visibility.

Renew our commitment to serving our parishes. Our councils and courts exist to support pastors and help strengthen parish ministries and programs.
Expand the number of community service initiatives and re-imagine our existing charitable programs for the future.
Increase our partnerships with local and national nonprofits to amplify our collective impact.

Financial Stewardship

Transparent, innovative management of the Order's resources for long-term sustainability.

As a former steward of the public trust, I am committed to sound financial management and oversight to protect the Order.
Continue to re-evaluate our insurance program with the goal of reducing or eliminating statutory reporting requirements. Doing so reduces our operating costs and insures our future viability.
Increase the share of our resources earmarked for charitable contributions to expand outreach to where the need is greatest.

Leadership Development

Investing in the leaders of tomorrow so the Order continues to thrive.

Launch a formal leadership pipeline program for Council officers.
Host periodic virtual leadership workshops with speakers and networking; continue Claver University.
Create a national mentorship registry connecting aspiring leaders with our leaders as well a local leaders .

Transparency & Accountability

Transparency and openness — in governance, finances, and activities of the Order.

Publish quarterly reports on the Order's activities, finances, and membership trends. Periodic communications to the members.
Establish an independent ethics committee to review grievances or challenges facing the Order fairly and expeditiously.
Hold periodic virtual town halls and town halls at State/District conferences where feasible. Create a virtual information desk.
